Burnet Indonesia is the Indonesia office of the Macfarlane Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health of Melbourne, Australia. The Institute is fully accredited by the Australian government as an International NGO. Founded in 1986, Burnet is Australia’s largest and leading communicable diseases research institute investigating some of today’s most serious blood-borne virus and sexually transmitted infections including HIV, hepatitis and measles.
In Indonesia, we provide technical assistance and education on public health issues to government, health care workers and communities. We partner with local organisations to identify needs, and help develop their capacity to address those needs. Our programs cover a broad spectrum, ranging from national and local policy development to project implementation. |
